Program: "Sweets for the Sweet"
On Tuesday, 21 February, our special guest will be James Kendall, past president of the Michiana Beekeepers Association and longtime beekeeper. He will help us appreciate and understand the importance of honeybees, their life cycle, seasonal habits, threats to their existence (such as Colony Collapse Disorder), and how they can even help people with allergies. It’s doubtful we’ll have any honey bees in attendance, but you might be able to see and taste some of their products!

There will be a cash bar at 6:30 and dinner at 7:00 p.m. The cost of the dinner will be $17.00 per person. Bring your food drive donations and please be sure to RSVP!
Meetings are always open to the public, and guests are welcome. RSVPs for members and visitors are a must so we will know how many plates to reserve for dinner! Members please RSVP from the SailAngle notice by clicking on the RSVP link; or contact Hazel Stevens at email ao@sbsps.org or Tel. 574-273-4794, no later than the Friday before the scheduled meeting. Non-members are welcome to make reservations by email or telephone. Because we have to guarantee the number of meals served, cancellations must be made 48 hours before the meeting, or, regretfully, we will have to pay for your meal and charge you accordingly.
