Program: "Sweets for the Sweet"
On February 21, our special guest will be James Kendall, past president of the Michiana Beekeepers Association and longtime beekeeper. He will help us appreciate and understand the importance of honeybees, their life cycle, seasonal habits, threats to their existence (such as Colony Collapse Disorder), and how they can even help people with allergies. It’s doubtful we’ll have any honey bees in attendance, but you might be able to see and taste some of their products!

Our public boating classes are starting with a brand new season, just in time for the 2012 boating season! Currently schenduled are two six week sessions. The first begins February 6, 2012, and the second begins April 2, 2012. We'll also offer a weekend edition on three consecutive Saturday mornings beginning April 14, 2012 at Pier 1000 in Berrien Springs, Michigan. Both classes meet the requirements for a Michigan approved boater education card, as well as the requirements of most other states requiring boater education. Check our Education Page regularly for updated information about our schedule of public classes and registration information.
